AmaWaterways has today released its 2020 preview brochure featuring two new itineraries, more land extensions and an expanded programme for AmaMagna. Those booking early will benefit from savings of up to £1,500 per couple.
Stuart Perl, Managing Director commented “We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests even more choice for 2020. Our goal is to consistently offer the best range of cruises on offer and I have no doubt that the new additions will prove popular. The new product will of course be under-pinned by our unparalleled service, award winning fine dining, luxury accommodation and continued focus on offering wellness activities both on-board and on shore.”
Charting New Waters On The Revolutionary AmaMagna
Only a year after her launch, AmaMagna will cruise new waters, heading to the lower Danube for four selected departures. The innovative ship will cruise the popular seven-night Gems of Southeast Europe itinerary between Budapest, Hungary and Giurgiu, Romania. The itinerary passes through Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania with stops at fascinating sites such as the ethereal Belogradchik Rocks and the UNESCO-designated Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo.
Additionally, AmaMagna will join other ships in the fleet in offering the 14-night Grand Danube Cruise, between Vilshofen, Germany and Giurgui, Romania travelling to seven countries and offering scenic views through the Iron Gates between Serbia and Romania.
Measuring twice the width of a traditional European river cruise ship, the luxurious AmaMagna allows for added personal space in the large suites (the majority 355 sq. ft. or larger); four tempting dining venues, including the Al Fresco Restaurant, Jimmy's Wine Bar Restaurant, The Chef's Table Restaurant and Main Restaurant; and new enticing amenities, such as the expansive Zen Wellness Studio and the innovative Water Sports Platform complete with the Sundowner vessel for complimentary tours of the Danube.
Prices for the new AmaMagna itineraries start from £2,754 per person for the 10 May Gems of Southeast Europe cruise from Budapest to Giurgiu (Category E stateroom).
New Itineraries Highlighting Immersive Cultural Experiences
In 2020, AmaWaterways will offer two new and enriching itineraries on-board AmaDante. The seven-night Treasures of the Main & Rhine sailing from Nuremberg to Amsterdam will take guests through storybook scenery and iconic landmarks as well as through the locks of Main-Danube Canal. This new itinerary will be packaged with an optional three-night pre-cruise land programme in Prague, the “Golden City of a Hundred Spires.”
Meanwhile, the new Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle itinerary on board AmaDante from Amsterdam to Luxemburg allows guests to add a two-night stay in Amsterdam before embarking on a seven-night cruise through the UNESCO-designated Rhine and vineyard-clad Moselle valleys. Other scenic stops include the charming villages of Rüdesheim, Cochem and Bernkastel before ending the cruise with an optional three-night extension in Paris, the “City of Lights.”
To meet the growing demand for the line's popular Wine Cruises, AmaWaterways announced more than 70 hosted wine-themed cruises in 2020, two of which will be on the new Treasures of the Main & Rhine itinerary. On these special cruises, guests enjoy on-board lectures and wine tastings led by celebrated wine experts and shore excursions with engaging epicurean experiences.
New Land Extensions In Istanbul And On The French Riviera
AmaWaterways will yet again enhance its pre and post-cruise land extensions in 2020, offering guests immersive experiences in each destination.
Those on board the Gems of Southeast Europe and Grand Danube itineraries will now have the choice of a new three-night land extension in Istanbul, Turkey as an alternative to a four-night land extension in Bucharest and Brasov. The new extension highlights the most iconic spots and the history behind the city, as well as featuring a tour of the legendary Topkapi Palace.
On the Colours of Provence and Spain itinerary, a new three-night land extension in Nice, France will also be offered as an alternative to a three-night land extension in Barcelona. Guests can explore the French Riviera, including visits to the stunning Aix-en-Provence, Monaco and Monte Carlo.
