Press release: 5th December 2018
The revered Samling Hotel in the Lake District has released its new signature cocktail.
The 22.5 is served in a champagne flute crafted by Cumbria Crystal (whose glass creations have been featured in James Bond) and is made with Christian Faure Grand Armagnac, Sir Winston Churchill Pol Roger Champagne and 2004 Château d'Yquem.
The cocktail also contains Darjeeling and Chamomile tea infusions and The Samling's own Wildflower Honey and is garnished with 22.5 carat gold leaf. Guests can keep their crystal flute after relishing the 22.5.
The cocktail costs £400 per glass and has been created by The Samling's Cocktail Chef Sam Alldrick, who can also offer bespoke cocktail-making classes for guests on request.
The Samling is a particularly special Lake District hotel, beautifully located overlooking Windermere. Discreetly luxurious, it offers exceptional fine dining, enhanced by one of the world's best wine lists and delivered with attentive but unobtrusive service.
