Hong Kong Airlines and Ink launch “+852” inflight magazine
The world's largest travel media company Ink announces the launch of a new and dynamic inflight magazine for Hong Kong Airlines titled “+852”.
Hong Kong: It was announced that a new inflight magazine from Hong Kong Airlines will launch on December 1st 2018. Named after the city's international calling code and the airline's dynamic home city, this new magazine will not only bring the airline hub to life but indeed their entire route network. Drawing from the city's strong design and arts tradition, +852 will have a bold, graphic design that makes it unique among inflight titles.
Ink's joint CEO Michael Keating said:
“Hong Kong Airlines is the city's fastest growing carrier and we're delighted to be partnering with them to deliver an exciting new world-class magazine. +852 is unlike any other inflight magazine: from the name, to the cover concept, to the bold and thought-provoking content inside. As well as being a title that passengers will love reading, +852 offers advertisers a unique opportunity to meaningfully connect with Hong Kong Airlines' highly sought-after and hard to reach audience.”
George Liu, CMO at Hong Kong Airlines said:
“New look, new feel, new +852 is here. Hong Kong Airlines is delighted to work with Ink to revamp our inflight magazine. It's been a fun project and we are very happy with the outcome. +852 not only embodies Hong Kong Airlines' values of Truly Hong Kong, Passion for Service and Delivering More, it also connects our passengers to the best of Hong Kong and beyond.”
The magazine launches with a new and dynamic editorial outlook. The “Check In” section is dedicated exclusively to showcasing the best of Hong Kong, while “Out of Office” spotlights trends and talking points for business travellers. Each month, the magazine's signature cover feature will explore one of Hong Kong Airlines' long list of destinations through a quirky and inimitable travel challenge, whether it's the writer eating their way through Los Angeles, taking an extended digital detox in Bali, or enjoying a holiday in the Maldives while leaving only a minimal carbon footprint. Through the course of the stories, the +852 feature writers will embark upon voyages of discovery; exploring, meeting people and unearthing fundamental truths about the destinations.
The brand-new +852 magazine will be available on board all Hong Kong Airlines flights and also in their lounges worldwide.
As well as producing +852's editorial content, Ink also manages all media sales for the airline. This new magazine is a unique advertising opportunity for brands, as it sits in front of a valuable and growing audience , given that airline passenger numbers are increasing each year and predicted to double by 2037. Asia Pacific alone is expected to be the source of more than half of those new passengers over the next 20 years.
