AlmaLusa Baixa-Chiado

Combining cultural, gastronomic and active highlights, AlmaLusa, Lisbon's most charming boutique hotel, has put together a package which allows families enjoy all the city has to offer.

The chic, quintessentially Portuguese AlmaLusa is located in a peaceful square in the heart of bustling, stylish Baixa/Chiado and a minute's walk from the iconic Praça do Comércio, making it the perfect base from which to explore the city.  A day's cycling tour will take the family from the hotel's enviable location, along the River Tagus to the historic district of Belem, escorted by a personal cycling tour guide pointing out the sites and ensuring the best photo opportunities en route. Reluctant bikers will be well incentivised by the famed Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts) from the world-famous Pasteis de Belem that await them on arrival.

Also included are tickets to the award-winning Oceanario de Lisbon; named by TripAdvisor as one of the best aquariums in the world, it is sure to be a highlight for both adults and children, with over and 450 different species of fish, mammals and amphibians among the 16,000 creatures on site.

Gourmands in the family will be excited by the inclusion of dinner at AlmaLusa's Delfina restaurant, which occupies a corner of the beautiful Praca do Municipio, overlooking the imposing structures of the city's former arsenal - the perfect spot to wind down after a day spent exploring the city.  The menu at Delfina celebrates the restaurant's historical setting with a menu of Portuguese classics, including a tasty selection of petiscos (Portuguese small plates) and rustic 'home style' cooking.  Dishes are complimented by a well-curated wine list featuring many local selections.

A fun and truly unforgettable addition to a family holiday at AlmaLusa is a Beetle tour with Lisbon by Beetle.  Their tours take in the dramatic coastline en route to the nearby seaside town of Sintra or some of the best surfing beaches in Portugal, cruising along in style in an open top vintage Beetle. Alternatively, families can take to the water on a dolphin watching tour, proving the opportunity to spot these majestic creatures, sail under the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge and take in views of the city from a different angle. Both activities are available at an additional cost.

Lisbon, offers one of the warmest climates, longest histories and grandest architecture of any major European city, making it the perfect destination for a family getaway.

AlmaLusa's three-night Family Package includes a guided cycling tour of Lisbon, entry tickets for two adults and one child to the Oceanario de Lisbon, a meal for two adults and one child at Delfina (not including drinks), daily breakfast, airport transfers and late check-out. Starting from 340 EUROS per family per night. Based on two adults and a child up to three years sharing, minimum stay of 4 nights. Valid through 31 August 2018.
