The 7-part series FUTURISTIC CHINA - produced by Sydney-based TV production company Grainger TV - has been launched at the international television festival in Cannes, MIP.
International distributor TVF has launched the series, with keen interest expressed by a number of major international networks.
The series premiered in Australia on Sky Business, with the final episode being broadcast tonight at 8pm across Australia and New Zealand.
Commissioned by the Chinese Government's international web outlet People.cn, the series has been broadcast concurrently across China on the people.cn network to a viewing audience of 81,000,000 followers.
Producer/presenter Greg Grainger has been filming across China since December, with locations including Beijing, the Great Wall of China, Tianjin, Qingdao, Chengdu, Baoding, Shenzhen and the resort island of Hainan.
While the series is primarily business oriented, it does have travel and cultural aspects. FUTURISTIC CHINA showcases a China that is making enormous progress in key areas of the economy.
FUTURISTIC CHINA has attracted such interest in China that leaders from Sichuan Province have commissioned Grainger TV to produce a cultural and tourism TV special on the 10th anniversary of the devastating earthquake that claimed 87,000 lives.
That programme will be filmed immediately after the Southern Great Barrier Reef TV special that Grainger TV will be filming from next week.
