Now that marriage is finally available to all in Australia, TFE Hotels is celebrating the year of love by launching a suite of new wedding packages themed around famous celebrity couples' nuptials and a competition to give away a $10,000 wedding package.
TFE Hotels' three new packages will be available at two of its key wedding venues, for anyone who wants to add a splash of celeb style to their big day. Each is modelled on a celebrity couple who hosted a headline-grabbing event – Elton John and David Furnish who made a song and dance about it, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia di Rossi who kept things intimate, and Prince William and Kate Middleton, who melded tradition with modern elegance.
TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman said its hotel venues and all of its wedding planners have always been inclusive and cater to any couple planning their nuptials. “To celebrate marriage in Australia now being open to everyone, we are thrilled to give away a $10,000 package to the couple with the most enchanting proposal story,” she said.
TFE Hotels' 18 wedding venues around Australia cater to any scale of event, from those planning a large extravagant occasion to one that is more discreet and intimate. Upcoming wedding expos will feature the new packages and offer a host of fresh ideas – at Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough on April 29 and Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne on June 16. Hotel Kurrajong Canberra will also offer its own suite of packages on 6 May and 4 November 2018.
CELEBRITY STYLE WEDDING PACKAGES
The Elton & David Package is for those who love the limelight, with tall stands of red roses, crazy sunglasses for each guest to wear indoors and a social media plan with a dedicated hashtag to send invites and issue updates throughout the ceremony and reception, just like Elton & David's #sharethelove. The menu includes traditional British fare: English beef and onion pies, roasted potatoes, parsnips, wild mushroom soup and warm chocolate pudding. And the song list? Plenty of Elton John of course, from Can You Feel The Love Tonight to I'm Still Standing. Add an Elton impersonator and a Damien Hirst sculpture for an additional fee.
The Portia and Ellen Packages is an intimate affair for those who prefer to celebrate their love with their very nearest and dearest, just as the famous couple did 10 years ago at their Los Angeles home, with only 19 guests. Model your evening ceremony on the famous couple's ceremony, with hundreds of candles, a soft pink and white theme, plenty of cushions for guests to recline, and a vegan menu complete with a vegan red velvet cake.
The William and Kate Package includes a black tie dinner modelled on the event at Buckingham Palace, with a candle-lit walkway, indoor fireworks, a live band, vintage pink champagne and peach bellinis. The menu includes a starter of crab, crayfish and prawns and a main course of lamb, followed by a trio of trifle, chocolate fondant and handmade ice-cream. Top the night off with a late night disco playing Ellie Goulding, a round of bacon sandwiches and The Beatles' She Loves You, before the couple drives off in a FIAT 500.
