Next Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce the promotion of Regional General Manager Alex Billing to the new role of National Operations Manager Australia / New Zealand (ANZ).
As National Operations Manager ANZ, Mr Billing will be responsible for the success of the ANZ Hotel Operations for Next Hotels & Resorts, working closely with the brand's General Managers and Mr John Warren, Managing Director, Australia New Zealand for Next Story Group.
Mr Billing was promoted to Regional General Manager for Next Hotels & Resorts in January 2017, where he was initially responsible for the Queensland properties. New South Wales and Victoria were added to his duties in May 2017 and he recently took responsibility for the entire ANZ portfolio.
In 2015 Mr Billing was appointed General Manager of Next Hotel Brisbane. His management of the Hotel and its team resulted in significantly improved results as well as winning numerous awards such as the QTIC Deluxe Accommodation Award for two years running and the HM Tech Hotel. As Regional General Manager Mr Billing's achievements have also been numerous and he is highly regarded for his exemplary commitment to his work, his leadership skills and his support of his team through training and mentoring.
Mr Warren said that Mr Billing's determined, measured and organised approach combined with his experience and vast respect from his teams has created vital change and positive financial outcomes for Next Hotels & Resorts.
