SALT

'Salt', a new, boutique, coastal holiday cottage agency for Norfolk has launched today, Thursday 19th October, proving that the holiday lettings sector in North Norfolk isn't just buoyant but thriving.

“Norfolk's tourism economy now has an estimated value of more than £3 billion, surprisingly bigger than that of Cornwall and Devon – both worth £2.4 billion each, with North Norfolk contributing £484 million of that, up 16% since 2013,” says Lucy Downing, Brand Manager.

With a head office in Holkham and plans for further satellite offices in the pipeline, Salt is the latest holiday lettings agency to emerge on North Norfolk's holiday lettings market.

What makes Salt different, genuinely different from its competitors though, is that whilst it's a fresh, new and exciting standalone brand, it is supported by 25 years of experience of its sister companies, Norfolk Country Cottages, the largest independent holiday lettings agency in Norfolk and Norfolk Cottage Care, the property maintenance arm of the business.

Having previously been Brand Manager for Visit North Norfolk, Lucy is well placed to understand the draw of Norfolk's coast and its ever-increasing popularity.

“Our research confirms that there is a growing trend for discerning people wishing to both stay in and invest in holiday homes along the Norfolk coastline, attracted to the area's raw and untouched beauty, wide skies, rich heritage and cultural vibe” she says.

“What we aim to curate is a refined portfolio in which every property enhances the Norfolk experience of visitors, by offering an exceptional, unique and perhaps quirky range of holiday accommodation, whether that's in terms of location, architecture or interior design.”

Salt's portfolio will also include properties located no more than ten minutes inland – give or take a pinch of SALT!

Sylvia Bradshaw and Amanda Howarth, who between them have over 30-years of experience in the North Norfolk property recruitment market will be managing the Holkham-based office.
