The North Coast Holiday Parks (NCHP) Moonee Beach team is celebrating after being named as finalists at the hotly-contested CCIA NSW (Caravan and Camping Industry Association) Awards of Excellence, a sign of the popular park's position as a highly-regarded leader within the competitive industry.
The popular holiday park at Moonee Beach is a finalist in the Best North Coast Park (more than 100 sites) category. The park was also recently recognised as the #2 Pet Friendly Park in Australia by industry magazine Time to Roam.
CCIA NSW is the top industry organisation for the Camping and Caravanning industry in the state, with the awards recognising outstanding businesses within the caravan, camping and holiday parks market.
The management of Moonee Beach is overseen by the NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust (NSWCHPT) which also manages the operations of Inland Waters Holiday Parks (IWHP) and South Coast Holiday Parks (SCHP).
Four other parks under the NSWCHPT banner were also named as finalists at the upcoming awards night to be held at Luna Park on 16 October:
- NCHP Evans Head is a finalist in the Best North Coast Park (more than 100 sites) category
- IWHP Copeton Waters and IWHP Burrinjuck Waters are finalists in the Best Inland Park (more than 100 sites) category
- SCHP Eden is a finalist in the Best South Coast Park (more than 100 sites) category
Moonee Beach Managers Mark and Kelly Shaw said they were elated to hear the news of their finalist nod.
“The entire staff and management at Moonee Beach are thrilled to be recognised by our industry peers from the CCIA NSW Awards of Excellence,” Kelly said.
“As park managers our goal is to create long lasting holiday memories for all guests who stay at the park and it's amazing to be recognised for all the hard work that goes into creating this experience.”
NSWCHPT Steve Edmonds commended the Moonee Beach team for receiving such esteemed recognition from CCIA NSW, noting it as an achievement which signifys the high standard of excellence carried out at not only Moonee Beach but the entire organisation.
“These nominations are a great representation of the hard work and dedication of Mark, Kelly and their entire team on the ground at Moonee,” Mr Edmonds said.
“It is great to see the park recognised for their ongoing achievement by our peak state industry body, which will serve as a motivator to continue our mission of offering unrivalled 'back to nature' holidays in some of the most desirable locations across NSW.”
Mr Edmonds passed on his best wishes to Mark and Kelly and said he looked forward to hearing the results on the night.
