Sunlover Reef Cruises has this week welcomed Brian Hennessy to lead its sales and marketing team, and to build on years of continued growth for the Cairns based company. Mr Hennessy has been appointed as Group Sales and Marketing Manager, replacing Martina Neidig-Quinlan who held the position for the last two years.
The tourism marketing professional will represent the company's flagship reef operation, Sunlover Reef Cruises as well as its heritage listed, 100 room CBD property, Hides Hotel Cairns.
Mr Hennessy brings to the role over 25 years' experience within the travel, tourism and aviation industries, having held both General management and marketing roles for iconic organisations such as Qantas, UK based Trailfinders, our regional tourism organisation Tourism Tropical North Queensland and most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing for Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.
Brian Hennessy joins Sunlover Reef Cruises at an exciting time. The innovative reef operator announced a $4million investment package for growth earlier this year which included the launch of a new multi-level pontoon for its Moore Reef location in May. Further to this the company has recently announced the establishment of a second outer reef pontoon operation within its permit area at Arlington Reef, a new reef experience which will enter the market in December this year.
“Sunlover Reef Cruises is pleased to welcome Brian Hennessy to the company to lead our dynamic sales and marketing team through our next phase of growth. We are now well positioned to maximise the many opportunities that the tourism industry currently offers. Brian's appointment is a further example of Sunlover's ongoing commitment to our industry as a leading experience provider.” said Group General Manager, Eugene Kotze.
