Mt. Hood Skibowl Celebrates 30 Years of Summer with a New Attraction

The Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl, one of Oregon's most exciting attractions, is celebrating its 30th year of summer fun with new attractions. Skibowl East attractions were remodeled for this season, including the brand new Amaze'n Maze. Visitors may lose themselves in over 4,300 square feet (399 square metres) of twists and turns. The goal: Find the four letters that spell MAZE and then find a way out. Indy Karts are a complete new fleet of internationally renowned SODI brand karts, and they have a smooth new surface to race on as the entire racetrack has been freshly paved this spring. The Kids Fun Zone has been completely rebuilt with new slides and passages. The conveyor-assisted Summer Tube Hill has been expanded with a second conveyor lift and six new lanes for a total of eight. While there, enjoy all of the great activities perfect for the whole family, adrenaline junkies, the naturalists and even the young ones. Mt. Hood Territory Introduces New Heritage Trail in Time for Oregon Trail 175th Anniversary

The Mt. Hood Territory Heritage Trail was introduced this June just in time for the 175th anniversary of the Oregon Trail coming up in 2018. The Heritage Trail encompasses 25 sites throughout The Territory. Visitors may learn about each site by texting a key word to the number listed on the sign at the location. People may also download the app from both iTunes and Google Play. Learn how Portland got its name or how the Supreme Court decided the fate of an elevator. Experience life on the Oregon Trail. Learn about the history behind the Pacific Northwest and the Oregon Trail pioneers that shaped it into what it is today. The mobile site can also direct users to additional points of interest, including dining, lodging and activities. Cyclists may check out the bike trail to several sites.
