Mercure Hotels Claim Coveted Titles at 2017 TAA Awards

AccorHotels' international midscale hotel brand, Mercure, was front and centre at the 2017 Tourism Accommodation Australia (Victoria) (TAA) Accommodation Awards, with both Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens and Mercure Warragul receiving noteworthy accolades.    

Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens claimed the title of Mid-Range Accommodation Hotel of the Year, whilst Mercure Warragul was awarded   Regional Accommodation of the Year.

The event welcomed over 500 hoteliers and hospitality industry leaders, including key Victoria's government officials.

Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens is primely positioned moments away from Melbourne's bustling CBD, the city's premier sporing arena the MCG and the picturesque Treasury Gardens. Guestroom design reflects the hotel's location with black and white photography of Melbourne architecture and landmarks emblazoned on the bed heads. The hotel recently revealed their new look restaurant 'Hop Sing Bar & Food', serving up an Asian-infused hawker style menu perfect for sharing.

The 48-room Mercure Warragul, is less than two years old, opening its doors in September 2015. Ideally located in the centre of Warragul's CBD, guests of the hotel enjoy direct access to the new build shopping precinct which surrounds the Mercure which is abuzz with restaurants and shops, while the West Gippsland Arts and Entertainment Centre is also accessible through the centre.
