The national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, not only re-entered the ranks of "Top 10 Global Airlines" at the Skytrax World Airline Awards at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday, but also won “The World's Best Cabin Crew” award for the fourth consecutive year.

Dubbed as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, the Skytrax Awards are the most sought-after airline accolades. Results are based on customer satisfaction surveys carried out by more than 18 million passengers, travelling across 245 international airlines and measuring 41 aspects relating to product and service.

Amongst the prestigious collection of awards, "The World's Best Cabin Crew 2017”, recognises the highest all-round performance of an airline's cabin staff, assessing techniques, efficiency, attention, attitude and overall hospitality. Garuda Indonesia proved its success and prestige once again by topping the likes of Qatar Airways and Emirates to retain its reigning title.

CEO of Skytrax, Edward Plaisted presented the “The World's Best Cabin Crew 2017” award to President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, Pahala N Mansury and said: “The 'World's Best Cabin Crew' award is one of the most prestigious achievements in the world of aviation and to secure the title for four successive years is unprecedented.”

President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, Pahala N. Mansury, was equally delighted and stated: “Receiving the award for the fourth consecutive year is a testament to Garuda Indonesia's outstanding staff and is an impressive milestone for the airline.

Garuda Indonesia has been a member of SkyTeam since 2014, the global airline alliance with 20 members, providing access to an extensive global network with over 17,343 daily flights to 1,062 destinations in 177 countries.
