London, 22nd May, 2017 – Swing-lovers and gin aficionados rejoice: 17 May, 2017 saw the launch of new and complimentary Gin & Jazz evenings at The Chesterfield Mayfair's Terrace Bar, to be held on the first and third Wednesdays of every month.

The Terrace Bar has become synonymous with excellence among gin-lovers and, building on the success of its interactive Gin & Tonic Experience, the new Gin & Jazz evenings will see London's luxury Mayfair venue transformed into an intimate jazz setting, capturing the elegance of the Art Deco era with performances from resident house pianist John Hudson, who has been entertaining guests at The Chesterfield for 20 years, and his sultry three-piece band: London jazz scene stalwart, Josh Kemp on the saxophone; Dave Hawthorn bringing his 30 years of session musician experience to the drums; and jazz academic and specialist in 1920s jazz, Casper Bordemaekers on bass.

The music is perfectly complemented by a bespoke menu of event-exclusive gin cocktails. Served with complimentary and seasonally-themed canapé accompaniments – including beer with hoisin sauce and spring onion, smoked salmon and caviar on an oversized crouton, and a deep fried gull's egg – the specially curated gin cocktails served during the Gin & Jazz evenings will include:

Martin Miller's gin, Aperol, Chambord, lemon and egg white with crushed apple

• A Passion for Jazz (£16)

Martin Miller's gin, crème de menthe, passion fruit syrup and lemon

• Drink and Jive (£16)

Martin Miller's gin, Passoa, ginger beer with muddled strawberries and raspberries

• Live, Listen & Lubricate (£16)

Martin Miller's gin, Cointreau, splash of lime and garnished with rosemary and blueberries

• Sweet Syncopation (£12)

Enjoy a glass of Martin Miller's gin and tonic with a plate of chocolate coated strawberries

Following months of experimentation to perfect, the expertly prepared cocktails are served with a generous dose of theatre – think dry ice and ingredients as smoky as the music. Cocktails start from £12. The Terrace Bar's full drinks and bar snack menu will also be available during the events.
