Alternative Aquitaine are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership for summer 2017 at their rental properties in south west France.
With villa rentals and self-catering properties consistently popular, but with more and more clients looking to treat themselves on holiday, Alternative Aquitaine has noticed a significant increase in requests for private chef services at self-catering villas. It makes sense - renting a villa gives you all the benefits of space, independence and freedom to create your own schedule when on holiday - but sometimes it's nice to let someone else take care of the little details (and the washing up!)
"We are delighted to partner with two very talented local chefs (and our good friends!) who provide bespoke catering packages for guests renting properties in Aquitaine" says Justin Ashby, director and co-founder of Alternative Aquitaine.
Vincent Bachelot has over 12 years of experience as a chef in restaurants all over Europe - including in Paris and Morocco. A passion for the freshest local produce and the social side of cooking define Vincent's ethos - he is more than happy to have guests who are equally passionate about food join him in the kitchen to help with prepping or just to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching him work his magic!
Dan Jackson is the founder of Alps2Atlantic in-house catering. We started working with Dan in 2016, and he is one of many associates in our network who make the bi-annual migration between the Alps and south west Atlantic coast, bringing with him 15 years of experience as a holiday chef and also as head chef in a 5 Star boutique hotel. Dan has 3 fascinations in life; snow, surf and great food - his mission is big smiles, full tummies and contributing to what is hopefully a totally fantastic holiday, so you can be sure that the whole experience will be amazing!
Whether it's a special meal to celebrate an occasion whilst on holiday, a break from cooking for a few days, or to experience restaurant-quality dining in the comfort of your villa, there are plenty of mouthwatering dishes. The chefs are always happy to listen to your thoughts and come up with a menu to excite you - Dan and Vincent are always innovating new packages and flavours and love to get creative!
Alternative Aquitaine put clients in touch with Dan or Vincent depending on their particular requirements, and guests can agree menus and little details directly with the chef. They will arrive in plenty of time to prep your chosen menu, lay the table and create the perfect ambience for your 'night off' whilst you enjoy your holiday time with family and friends. Guests are served at the table, with all the clearing down and washing up taken care of - you really don't need to lift a finger!
From magret of duck with spicy plum and rhubarb compote, to local seafood dishes followed by coconut and jasmine panacotta, there are some really mouthwatering menus to choose from. If you like to cook but find the preparation and shopping tedious, another speciality is freshly-prepared marinated meats and fish ready to go straight on the BBQ, with salads and accompaniments on the side.
