SCREAMLAND MEDIA PREVIEW - Thursday 13th October 2016

Dreamland Margate mutates into Screamland, after dark once again with the multi-award winning scare festival, that's bigger and better than ever! Guests will experience six nights of fear, Fridays and Saturdays from 14th to 29th October.

Dreamland is inviting selected media to the Screamland Media Preview on Thursday 13th October from 6pm – 8pm. You may register your interest in attending with penny.shorricks@dreamland.co.uk 

As a member of the media you will be the first to discover five fully immersive and interactive scare mazes completely new for 2016. The mazes are incredibly detailed, real world environments and cleverly play on the different elements of Dreamland's history, exclusively before the event opens to the public. Plus, with more sideshows and characters that will terrify the hardest of scare enthusiasts, Screamland is the place to be this Halloween season.

The preview will give you the chance to get behind the scenes views and exclusive content not available to the public:

Interviewees:
1. Dreamland's Events and Programming Director, Rebecca Ellis.
2. AtmosFEAR Entertainment's Creative Director, Jason Karl.
3. Scenic and Screamland Artist, Georgie Foster to discover more about theming and art that plays a big part in Screamland.
4. Screamland characters, including Fag Ash Lil, Punchinello and Armand.
5. Mrs Hill, Margate Historical Society – to hear Margate Murder and Ghost Stories.

Behind the scenes:
1. Info on design and build.
2. Technical/Behind The Scenes info of each maze.

Media only experiences:
1. Solo guest experience – are you brave enough to venture into the scare mazes completely alone?
2. Scare Actor experience – we can offer media the opportunity to experience what's it's like first hand to be a Screamland Scare Actor.

For members of the media travelling from St Pancras Int. Station, a special train with Screamland scare actors will depart at 15:25 to take you to Margate Station, courtesy of Southeastern. Few press train tickets remain, so please enquire about availability when responding.
