Popular Executive Chef of The Table Bay in Cape Town, Jocelyn Myers-Adams is joining with celebrated Australia Chef, Martin Boetz in preparing a special luncheon in the tranquil setting of Martin's Cooks Co-Op on Saturday 12 March 2016.
Jocelyn and Martin will be combining their culinary talents to present a wonderful
4-course menu with matching wines in the picturesque and rustic farm shed at Cook's Co-Op, or 'The Farm' for which it is affectionately known, an hour's drive north of Sydney surrounded by bush and nestled on the banks of the Hawkesbury River.
Jocelyn is recognised in South Africa for utilising Cape Town's exquisite ecosystem and its diversity of native plants to enhance flavours and define dishes at The Table Bay. She believes in the innate hunter-gatherer instinct and leads regular foraging tours around Cape Town.
Jocelyn's philosophy to “keep it simple and use great products” will be the ideal complement to this collaboration with Martin who has a focus on creating delicious menus tailored to everyone's tastes and requirements using fresh, seasonal produce grown on 'The Farm' or sourced locally.
Jocelyn spent time in Australia in 2003 in Chef and Restaurant management roles in Queensland's Whitsundays and Coolum Beach and at Brunswick Heads in New South Wales. She also worked in London at Gordon Ramsay's 3-Star Michelin restaurant in Chelsea and as a Sommelier with Zuma in Knightsbridge, and teamed up with Chef Jamie Kennedy, a pioneer in the organic food movement in Toronto, Canada.
The Table Bay, which Jocelyn moved to in 2009, is one of Sun International's three luxury properties in the SunLux Collection which also includes Sun City's The Palace of the Lost City and Zambia's The Royal Livingstone.
Prior to Cooks Co-Op, Jocelyn will be in Melbourne to host a Down Under MasterClass at the 24th Melbourne Food and Wine Festival on Saturday 5 March and dinner at Taxi Kitchen, Federation Square with Chef, Tony Twitchett on Tuesday 8 March.
Tickets for the Cooks Co-Op luncheon being presented by Jocelyn and Martin are priced at $165 per person including a 4-course menu and matching wines.
