Congham Hall Hotel (01485 600250; www.conghamhallhotel.co.uk) in Norfolk will mark the Year of the English Garden 2016 with the official launch of a brand-new signature treatment at a special event to be held in the hotel's state-of-the-art Secret Garden Spa on Thursday, 14 January.

Exclusively designed by the hotel's principal product supplier, UK specialist brand Elemental Herbology, The Herb Garden Signature Treatment costs £75. The 75-minute face, back and scalp massage begins and ends with a herbal inhalation, and features rosemary, mint and lavender, handpicked from the hotel's own plot of 400 varieties of herb.

The Magnificent Seven... Norfolk Gardens, which explores some of the best gardens in North Norfolk, from stately homes to nature reserves. Congham Hall will also relaunch its special package, the Summer Garden Offer, which includes two nights with dinner, bed and breakfast for two people, two tickets to neighbouring Sandringham House and Gardens, and one pot of herbs from Congham's plot. Priced from £499 per room, staying in a Good House room, it will be available Sunday to Thursday, 11 April to 30 June 2016, subject to availability.

Nicholas Dickinson and his team took over Congham Hall in March 2012. The hotel relaunched in May 2013 after completing the last phase of a major refurbishment. Nicholas has spent his entire working life in the luxury hotel business. Early on, he worked at the five-star country-house hotel Chewton Glen and Raymond Blanc's two-Michelin-starred restaurant and hotel, Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. In 1994, Nicholas formed a partnership with Nigel Chapman, who had developed Woolley Grange in Wiltshire. Together, they created Luxury Family Hotels, which soon became the market leader in the UK for luxury family short breaks, and Alias Hotels, for the stylish mid-market corporate and leisure sectors. Both groups were successfully sold and Nicholas and Nigel went on to develop Martinhal Resort on Portugal's Algarve. This is Nicholas's first independent hotel project.
