Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda, overlooking Lake Garda in Italy, has created special Christmas and New Year experiences, which combine the finest Italian food and traditions with relaxing and warming spa treatments.

Celebrations begin on 24 December with an indulgent candle massage, using the warm oils created by the resort's perfumed Christmas candles followed by a cinnamon infusion, while the children wait at 'Paolino's Club' for a visit from Father Christmas.   That evening the music of the Italina Zampognari (Italian bagpipes) is followed by a traditional Italian dinner.

Start Christmas day slowly with a relaxing flotation in the resort's salt water lake.  Christmas lunch will be an Italian tasting menu in La Grande Limonaia restaurant including prawns, pomegranate and burrata, ravioli with Jerusalem artichoke and roast veal with black truffle sauce.

The relaxing thee night Christmas package starts on 23  December and costs from £354 (Euros 490) per person based on two sharing.   The price includes three nights accommodation, breakfast, Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas day lunch, a candle oil massage and a session in the salt water lake.

The four night New Year's Eve experience includes a tension relieving neck and back massage with warm olive oil and winter essences, a face massage and a relaxing flotation session in the salt water lake.

Celebrations begin on 31 December with champagne, oysters and appetisers, accompanied by live music and views overlooking Lake Garda.  A gala dinner follows with a six-course gourmet menu served with the finest Italian wines.  The menu includes ravioli filled with seabass, watercress mousse and Siberian caviar, risotto creamed with truffle from Monte Baldo, soft egg and spinach and braised veal cheek, Jerusalem artichokes and hazelnut crumble.  As the New Year begins, the party continues with music and a traditional 'good-luck' buffet.

The four night New Year's Eve special costs from £1,048 (Euros 1,450) per person including accommodation, breakfast, the gala dinner on 31 December, a neck and back massage, the facial massage and session in the salt water lake.
