Rail Passes
VIA Rail have introduced a range of new rail passes :
Canrailpass System can be used across the entire VIA Rail network and starts from just $699pp. All passes are for travel in economy class only and are valid for 60 days from the first date of travel. Various levels of pass have been introduced with differing levels of flexibility.
Canrailpass Corridor can be used on any of the corridor services covering Ontario and Quebec with prices starting from just $299. This pass is for travel in economy class and valid for 21 days from the first date of travel. Various levels of pass are available offering different levels of flexibility.
Both passes now have options for unlimited travel for the durations detailed above. For the Corridor Pass this starts at just $699 and for the System Pass just $1299.

Prestige Sleeper Class
Additional Prestige Class bedrooms are due to be added to each departure of 'The Canadian' in 2016. The additional bedrooms will allow more travellers to experience the famous journey between Toronto and Vancouver in VIA Rail's premium class of service.

Rocky Mountaineer extend Rainforest to Gold Rush Route
Rocky Mountaineer has launched its new 2016 brochure which is available now in travel agencies throughout the UK. Jam-packed with stunning imagery and captions that capture the magic of rail travel, each page brings the majestic Rocky Mountaineer experience to life.
The brochure is the first to include the extended Rainforest to Gold Rush route, a three-day rail journey between North Vancouver and Jasper via Whistler and Quesnel. Travelling through Howe Sound, Squamish and Cheakamus Canyon to connect the world-class destinations of Vancouver and Whistler, the extended route will provide guests with an exclusive look at some of the most stunning scenery in British Columbia.
