Secret Retreats Celebrates Its 3rd Anniversary with a New Website, Loyalty Program, and a Joint Commitment Towards Sustainable Tourism

Secret Retreats

(Singapore, 23 June 2015) - Secret Retreats' 3rd Anniversary was celebrated in the Temples of Angkor Wat by its members over 3 days, on May 7-10. It was the opportunity for Stéphane Junca, MD of Secret Retreats, to present the new website to the community of hotels, just prior to its launch.

“A simple, light and an efficient format to source information and make bookings”, describes Stéphane Junca.  The redesigned website offers access to all main sections on its homepage where simple single-button instruction directs the user.

- “DREAM” and discover Secret Retreats stories, destinations, experiences and the property owners' background history.

- “BOOK” to find directly the hotels availability and prices.

In the centre of the homepage, the new website also highlights properties with special offers– the best deals available at the time.

Sophie Couturier, Head of Sales and Marketing, believes “it is important to show that our beautiful, boutique properties can also be affordable. Some of the deals listed are quite exceptional, especially in low season, and show tremendous value to our customers.”

The Secret Retreats Loyalty Program called “Voyage” was also launched at the beginning of June. Guests who enjoy our unique properties are now able to accumulate points. There are 3 tiers within the program, Traveller, Nomad and Explorer that entitle loyalty members to up to 5% cash back and other benefits.

The loyalty program has been created with one especially innovative tool that neatly summarises the Secret Retreat's philosophy and commitment to sustainable tourism. Loyalty points that are unused can be redeemed in cash and donated to the charities and foundations supported by the Secret Retreats properties. Learn more about the charity work and commitment to the local environment and population in the section titled We Care.

Developed during their group discussions in Cambodia, Secret Retreats members have each signed a written pledge for sustainability.  The owner of Misool Eco Resort, Marit Miners, emphasised “It is important for us to be associated with owners who share the same mission and respect the same values.  We (at Misool), have been fighting the battle against shark finning for many years. It would not be acceptable for us to be associated with other properties who do not respect similar attitudes and care for their environment…”

Last, and reserved only for the Secret Retreats members, is an intranet feature called “Tribe Members.” This creates access for members to share information, swap rooms, exchange staff or chefs for cross-training experiences, or even collaborate on secret recipes. It provides a portal of mutual support enabling discussions related to topics such as operating hotels in remote areas, sustainable practices or marketing.

Secret Retreats is in every way a true community, inviting travellers to experience the lands we love and live on. This is our vision.
