The five-star Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort in Bulgaria has further enhanced its award-winning facilities with the opening of a new restaurant and piano bar.
Fusing traditional and contemporary Bulgarian and Mediterranean cuisine, the new restaurant – named Olivo – will offer authentic home-style cooking using only the finest and freshest locally produced ingredients.
Guests may choose from a delicious array of meat and vegetarian dishes, as well as the resort's famous local mussels – harvested from a mussel farm visible from the restaurant.
Olivo also offers a rich breakfast buffet and half-board menu with a wide variety of flavours, as it looks to raise the benchmark of home-style cooking.
Following an evening of fine, authentic dining and locally-sourced wine, guests might also like to try a cocktail in Grand Voyage, the resort's new piano bar.
The stylish venue offers a unique experience where guests can enjoy state-of-the-art lighting and rousing 'retro-futuristic' décor pulled straight from the pages of Jules Verne and HG Wells.
The fantastical piano bar – which features live music, thematic evenings, an extensive drinks menu, and special happy hour promotions – provides night lovers with a unique atmosphere and a truly incomparable experience.
A Thracian Cliffs spokesman said: “We want Thracian Cliffs to be a diverse and lively environment that caters to wide audience so we're delighted to announce two very different additions to the resort.
“We're sure guests will be both intrigued and excited by our ambitious new projects and we will continue to raise the bar at Thracian Cliffs to further its reputation as a world-class golf destination.”
Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort successfully hosted the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championship where it scooped the 'European Golf Resort of the Year 2014' award – bestowed by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) – and this year it was awarded the highest certificate by Leading Courses in the 2015 Golfer's Choice awards.
Course designer Gary Player said: “You will not find a golf course like this anywhere else on the planet. Pebble Beach is renowned as the best site and I would say Thracian Cliffs is twice as good as Pebble Beach.”
With two high-spec residential villages – many with panoramic sea views – gourmet restaurants, a bijou spa and its own beach club, Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort offers plenty for both golfers and lifestyle seekers, all within the unique environment of the Cape Kaliakra coast.
And with summer on the horizon, its location – which benefits from plenty sunshine, lying, as it does, further south than Florence, Monaco or Marseille – boasts the perfect climate for the regular special events which take place on the unspoiled Bendida Beach, located directly on the seafront of the resort.
