The Yarra Valley Conference Centre (YVCC) is making three significant announcements, welcoming on board new General Manager Katrina Reynolds, revealing its new name - 'Yarra Valley Estate' and celebrating completing benchmarking towards their Earth Check Bronze Certification. 

The new name is intended to better reflect the venue's diversification over the years.  Now, in addition to group stays and conferencing, it is also a wedding and functions venue.  

New General Manager Katrina Reynolds joined the company on 13 April and will oversee all day to day running of the business, freeing up owners John and Louse Ward to work at a strategic level. 

'After 20 years of managing the property ourselves, we're delighted to welcome Katrina on board.  Having worked in the region and industry for the past 18 years, Katrina will bring a wealth of experience with her to the role and she will be a fantastic fit with the team,' said owner Louise Ward.  'Her arrival coincides with our name change and us achieving an environmental benchmark, so it's been a significant week for us.  We feel 'Yarra Valley Estate' describes our venue and grounds perfectly, as we are a large country property on 120 acres, a mecca for lovers of wildlife and nature.'

The venue is celebrating their latest environmental achievement, having been benchmarked by Earth Check, an organization that recognizes businesses' sustainable practices globally. With ongoing work towards sustainability the venue have commenced the Earth Check certification with the benchmarking process completed.
