Parkdean Holidays Booking Numbers Rocket Thanks To Dorset's Starring Role In ITV's Broadchurch

Parkdean Resorts

BOOKINGS to Parkdean Holidays West Bay Holiday Park on the dramatic Dorset coastline have soared since ITV's hit drama series Broadchurch returned to our screens earlier this year.

The nation has fallen in love with the iconic Dorset landscape as millions tune in each week to watch it steal the show.

Parkdean Holidays' booking numbers at their West Bay Holiday Park, located in the town of Bridport which features in Broadchurch have soared by 45% in the last month.

The Holiday Park is just 200 metres from the golden sands of West Bay beach, and steps away from the stunning cliffs along the Jurassic Coast, which has provided the memorable landscape for the series.

John Waterworth, chief executive at Parkdean Holidays, said: “We pride ourselves on the fantastic locations throughout the UK where our Holiday Parks are based.

“Parkdean Holidays has three Holiday Parks in Dorset, all with striking surrounding views. It's great to see people taking advantage of the breathtaking landscapes we have right here in the UK.”

Just like West Bay Holiday Park, Warmwell Holiday Park is near to the Jurassic Coastline and within a short commute to both Weymouth and Dorchester. On park, guests have plenty of facilities to keep them entertained, with a Snowsports Centre, complete with skiing, snowboarding and sledging, a fishing lake and archery sessions.

Sandford Holiday Park provides an abundance of opportunities to get active in the fresh air; visitors can make the most of its leafy country park setting while cycle hire is also available at the park. There's also a wildlife nature trail and crazy golf course which the whole family can enjoy.

The latest figures from visit-dorset.com show that Dorset is increasing in popularity as a holiday destination, as they have reported a 148% increase in traffic from the same period last year. Dorset was also listed in The Guardians 40 Holiday hotspots: where to go in 2015, alongside the likes of California, Cuba and Morocco.
