Marguerite “Peggy” Cleveland is a seasoned travel journalist and U.S. Army veteran who has relocated 33 times throughout her life. Her passion for travel began early—at age nine, during a cross-country move in a Pontiac station wagon—which sparked a lifelong curiosity about people and places. With every move, she developed a unique approach to storytelling: discovering destinations through the fresh lens of a visitor while uncovering the hidden gems known only to locals.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Marguerite covers travel, food, wine, and human interest stories. She is a travel expert for TravelAwaits, a leading resource for travelers aged 50 and over, and her work has been featured in Northwest Travel & Life, SheBuysTravel, Business Insider, and numerous other publications.

She is the author of 100 Things to Do in Tacoma Before You Die (2nd Edition) and is currently writing her second book, Eats & Eateries of Tacoma. Marguerite has built strong, trusted relationships with DMOs, CVBs, and PR professionals, and has partnered with major travel brands including Viking Cruises, Hyatt, and Celebrity Cruises.

She is a proud member of the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) and the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA).
