Simply Sweden (01427 700115; www.simplysweden.co.uk) is building on the popularity of its Escape – Swedish Style! break with the launch of three holidays on a similar theme.
The new 'Escape' collection from the Scandinavian travel specialist aims to enable holidaymakers to emulate the Swedish tradition of escaping the city to relax and recharge at a lakeside hideaway. The three additional holidays include a break for families that mixes city and countryside, a taste of small village life for adults, and a winter experience for all.
Escape – Swedish Family Style! is a seven-night, three-centre family break, visiting Stockholm, a secret private island, and a rural spa hotel. After two nights in the Swedish capital, guests will take a short drive north to Ockelbo in middle Sweden and transfer by boat to a secret private island to spend two nights in a traditional red cottage, Kabin. Here they will enjoy activities including lake-swimming, canoeing and forest walks, as well as rustling up meals from the recipes and organic ingredients provided. The holiday concludes with three nights at one of Sweden's most famous spa hotels, in the lakeside village of Tällberg in the Dalarna region.
From £1,655 per adult/£520 per child, based on two adults and two children, including return flights, car hire, B&B in Stockholm and Tällberg, and full board at Kabin. Available May to September.
Escape – Little Sweden is a seven-night, three-centre break aimed at adult guests that offers the chance to experience life in a small village, get active in the wild, and dine on delicious locally sourced food. The first two nights will be spent at Stilleben, a stylish B&B housed in a former school in the village of Åmot in middle Sweden. Activities include riding Icelandic horses, cycling, and the option of a bear safari. Next stop, two nights in Fryksås, in the Dalarna region, a pretty village that's home to a famous collection of 16th-century timber farm buildings. Guests will then move on to enjoy three nights at the spa hotel in Tällberg.
From £1,335 per person, based on two sharing, including return flights, car hire, full board and sauna experience at Stilleben, and B&B in Fryksås and Tällberg. Available mid-May to 30 September.
Escape – Swedish Winter Style! is a new, seven-night holiday that makes the most of the snowy landscapes of the Ockelbo region. The break is now available to book for dates throughout February 2018, with a seasonal option for the Christmas and New Year period. Based at Stilleben, guests' days can be spent joining in various activities – from baking, fat-biking and husky-driving to snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice-fishing, with specially organised alternatives and menus for the two festive departures.
From £2,095/£2,195 per adult or £1,395/£1,460 per child, based on two adults or a family of four sharing, including return flights, transfers, seven nights' full board at Stilleben (families stay in a two-bedroom cabin), and all activities. Departs 22 and 29 December 2017, and 4, 11, 18, 25 February 2018.
The original holiday in the collection, Escape – Swedish Style!, is a rural odyssey combining two nights on the private island and two nights at Stilleben, in Ockelbo, featuring optional activities such as the bear safari. Price £1,350 per person, based on two sharing, including return flights, transfers, accommodation and most meals. Available May to October.

Notes to editors:
Simply Sweden began selling holidays in 2006 and has become one of the UK's leading tailor-made tour operators to Scandinavia; in 2016, it added the Faroe Islands, in the Kingdom of Denmark, to its range of destinations. The company, founded by Chris and Karin Graham, draws on the inside knowledge of its small Sweden-based team, gained from travelling extensively across the territories, to create itineraries that offer customers the best experiences and deliver a genuine insight into the Scandinavian way of life.
