Mid-way through Julia Bradbury's much acclaimed new series on ITV - 'Best Walks with a View' highlighting the beauty of some of the UK's most stunning landscapes, the spotlight this week fell on the countryside of South Downs National Park and the iconic white cliffs of South East England. Ramblers Worldwide Holidays are offering an opportunity to walk in Julia's footsteps in this spectacular landscape and actually meet the presenter in person.
Accommodation on this 4 night break is at the luxurious, five star Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, an iconic landmark on the famous resort's western seafront since Victorian times.
The first of the guided walks begins on the coast of the High Weald from the village of Pett to the coast thence along the Saxon Shore Way to the Cliffs of Hastings. Another day takes in a circular walk from Alfriston, taking in the 'Long Man of Wilmington', an enormous, remarkable Bronze Age outline cut into the chalk of the hills and maintained throughout the centuries. Also a walk to the old smugglers village of Jevington (home of the Banoffee Pie) and the Lullington Heath Nature Reserve before returning to Alfriston.
On the last day of this wonderful short break there is a second walk in the South Downs National Park which includes a drive to the Tiger Inn at East Dean to enjoy coffee with Julia Bradbury before beginning a walk from Beachy Head to the Seven Sisters Country Park across some of the most dramatic white cliff coastal scenery in England. Returning to the welcoming luxury of The Grand Hotel, clients will have the opportunity to join Julia for dinner. She looks forward to answering questions about her wonderful travel experiences and wide-ranging career in television.
Price from £750 per person includes 4 nights half board accommodation at The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne all transport, refreshments at the Tiger Inn and a personally signed copy of Julia's new book 'Unforgettable Walks' (+ DVD) and the services of a dedicated tour leader.
