Karla Cripps

Senior Digital Producer
CNN Travel

Karla Cripps is a Senior Digital Producer who oversees CNN Travel's Asia-Pacific coverage.

Based in Bangkok for more than 15 years, she spearheads production of travel news, features and planning for the region, while also writing and editing content.

Cripps works closely with CNN Travel's teams in New York, Atlanta and London, and produces content that covers a wide range of topics, from aviation news and travel trends to culture and cuisine.

Cripps joined CNN in 2009 and became editor and writer for CNN Travel in 2012. She has been heavily involved in the production of various successful CNN Travel series, including Culinary Journeys, Hanoi POV and Destination India.

Prior to joining CNN, Cripps spent over a decade working as a writer and editor for various publications and broadcast media. Originally from Canada, she began her journalism career as a digital and TV news producer for Global Television Network.
