Crafted by the volunteers from Men's Shed Colac using recycled timber, this enchanted forest is home in the Rainforest Trail with over 60 other magical houses to discover. NEW: 100% Plant-Based Eatery Marko opens in south Melbourne

Adding to the list of Melbourne's amazing vegan eateries, Marko has opened as a new all-day diner, located in the southern area of the city. The concept takes plant-based ingredients and presents them as familiar comfort foods, with dishes including green-pea falafel pita pockets with quinoa tabouli, and corn ribs topped with crisp chilli. In this bright and welcoming space, visitors will also be able to sip on a delicious concoction such as a Whiskey Yuzu or Spicy Paloma, with the cocktail list utilising locally produced spirits. NEW: Deeds brewing opens new Taproom and Kitchen

Independent craft brewery, Deeds Brewing, has opened doors to its first bar and restaurant, Deeds Taproom and Kitchen, right in the heart of Melbourne's leafy suburb, Glen Iris. Nestled along a side street next to the train station, Deeds' new beer hall is full of wonderful surprises. From its 1980's industrial yet slick interior of what was once a car workshop to the unique selection of 22 beers, firm favourites include; Half Time, XPA and Double Time Hazy Pale. For foodie lovers, Deeds offers a seasonal menu that pushes boundaries with the use of beer in fine cookery. Driven by Head Chef, Paul Kasten, dishes include: hop-cured salmon and Wagyu MS9+ blade fillet in an ale glaze. NEWLY OPENED: Marriott Docklands introduces Australia's highest infinity pool

A brand new Marriott Hotel has just opened up in the Docklands, and will be home to a striking infinity-edge pool. Located on the 15th floor of the building with submerged pool beds and an adjoining cocktail bar, the 28-metre infinity-edge swimming pool has incredible 200-degree views over the Melbourne, a city known for taking visitors to new heights with its amazing range of rooftop bars and sky-high experiences, including mesmerising hot air balloon rides. The new $250million hotel is located centrally, above the District Docklands on Waterfront Way, and features 189 rooms. The five-star property also boast a laneway café, lobby bar and a rooftop bar called 'Sunset House'. Adding to the impressive culinary credentials for the city, the refined all-day dining venue, Archer's, will serve elevated Australian fare with flair and provenance. Nestled beneath a vaulted cellar-esque ceiling, the restaurant is reminiscent of Melbourne's historic bridges and train stations.

NEWLY OPENED: Next Hotel opens a new style hotel

Another new luxury hotel in Melbourne has opened on the buzzy Little Collins Street, aiming to offer guests a sophisticated sanctuary to play and stay. The 'elegantly understated' Next Hotel has 255 rooms and suites, complete with considered design details, beautiful linen bedding, sophisticated furnishings and thoughtful amenities such as Bose sound systems.
