The Whisky a Go Go Turns 50
Opening its doors in January 1964, the Whisky a Go Go was at the center of the rock 'n' roll universe. The club launched some of the biggest rock careers in history including The Doors and Johnny Rivers. The Who, The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix all played here. On January 16 the Whisky turns 50 and the celebration of this iconic club goes on all month long with a host of great concerts. View the lineup. >>>
