Rick's Group launches taxi service in the Yarra Valley.

Rick's the name, transport's the game.

After successfully launching Rick's Wine Tours in 2019 and showcasing the very best of the Yarra Valley through wineries, distilleries and the region's best kept secrets, Rick's Group is expanding with the launch of Rick's Taxis. This is a game-changer for the Yarra Valley, bringing a much-needed transport service to the region for visitors exploring and enjoying the region without the stress of transport management or lengthy wait times from rideshare services.

Rick's Taxis is a taxi and transport company servicing the Yarra Valley and operating 7 days a week. Already partnering with wineries such as Rochford Wines and various local hotels, Rick's Taxis also offers wedding and event transfers and group transfers. Bookings are taken from the Oiii app or via 1300 422 312.

Rick's Taxis has been positively welcomed by local industry and the general public with limited transportation options previously available in the region. With the introduction of Rick's Taxis, the Yarra Valley can open to more visitors and encourage a night-time economy.

“I am so passionate about the Yarra Valley, I love taking people around this incredibly beautiful area. After being involved in tours for many years, the number one thing I would hear from businesses was that transport was the main issue. The industry has been crying out for transport and I waited for someone else to do it. I decided now is the right time for that person to be me.

I don't want this region to be held back anymore,” says Rick Creamer, CEO of Rick's Group.

Rick's Taxis will be great for everyone in the region from hotels, restaurants, events, wineries and people exploring the area.

“I wanted people to be able to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley and more importantly get home safely to their accommodation or back into Melbourne,” says Rick.

With more vehicles and drivers expected later in the year, Rick's Taxis and transport plans are making travelling around the Yarra Valley so much easier. Rick has a number of even more exciting venue and transport plans in play for 2024 and he can't wait to reveal these next year.

Taxis on the road:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm.

Thursday: 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

Friday and Saturday: 8:00 am - 1:30 am

Taxis and transport can be pre-booked outside these times.
