A Contemporary Lobby Lounge Fusing State-of-the-Art Technology, Contemporary Art and a Delectable Full Day Menu
The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel is proud to announce its newly reinvented lobby lounge, Ebb & Flow, a contemporary buzzing hotspot in the heart of Causeway Bay. Featuring a modern design, cutting edge tech elements and delectable food options, Ebb & Flow ensures a trendy vibe in line with the modern era of experiential lifestyle. Conceived for the new generation of “beautiful nomads”: of travellers, business leaders and sophisticated explorers, Ebb & Flow is tailor-made for today's hyper-connected world where time and distance are as fluid as their evolving ambitions, inventing traditions for business and play around the world.
The Lobby: A Living Contemporary Volume
The contemporary lobby design of The Park Lane Kong, a Pullman Hotel and Ebb & Flow were conceived of by celebrated local architect William Lim of CL3 Architects. Set steps away from the lush green landscapes of Victoria Park, the interior design boasts plush furnishings, and a contrast of textures from stone, marble, copper to timber for a feeling of luxurious yet casual comfort.
The lounge breaks away from the conventional hotel layout of compartmentalized areas, set to fuse the entry, check-in and leisure time into one seamless volume, suited towards the contemporary generation who crave simultaneous stimulation. Moreover, the design offers a tangent away from traditional hospitality design, favoring instead a raw aesthetic with energy, featuring an open ceiling that produces the ambience of a spontaneous social hub. Concurrently, the design allows unparalleled flexibility for evolving events and artworks, ensuring an ever-changing experience at the hotel.
Contemporary Photography in the 21st Century
To complement the décor, The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel has partnered with Galerie Junger to present Austrian photographer Paul Kolp's series of photographic prints to enliven the Ebb & Flow interior. Kolp captures the sensuality and aesthetic of food produce, a common theme in his oeuvre. Selections of photographic works are featured at Ebb & Flow including; a lime, lobster, octopus and watercress, all leased an artistic life, reinterpreted through the enigmatic eye of the artist.
In celebration of Kolp's unique lens, and in collaboration with the Grain & Pixel digital art collective, The Park Lane Hong Kong lobby will also feature a large-scale digital installation Dissection, a kaleidoscope through movement, vibrancy and visual stimulation. The digital art piece is a dynamic focal point, set latitudinally behind the reception.
Delectable and Diverse International Menu
The newly renovated Ebb & Flow opens its doors with sumptuous menus throughout the day. From a fresh bakery service and slow-press juicer for breakfast, a wide-ranging international lunch menu of salads, lunch trays, and fresh sandwiches, to an elaborate afternoon tea with a novel twist, and an exquisite Tapastry for light tapas, Ebb & Flow promises the use of highest quality seasonal ingredients to satisfy all taste buds. A prized recommendation at Ebb & Flow is the colorful, beautifully presented and delicately hand-crafted éclairs by pastry chef Roy Lau.
Bridging day to night, an innovative menu of cocktails is bound to excite, showcasing a wide selection of world-renowned classics, infused with an Ebb & Flow artistic flair. In addition, Ebb & Flow is the first hotel in Hong Kong to introduce a rare, specialty Steampunk coffee machine. This craft-brewing machine is configured using an app for use with different custom roasting and blending recipes, to manipulate to perfection the taste, body and aroma of each coffee served. To top off the experience, state-of-the-art technology featuring digitally connected menus ensure ease of ordering at the fingertips, presenting an interactive and adaptable dining experience.
The Park Lane Kong Kong, a Pullman Hotel is proud to deliver a top-of-the-range lobby lounge, with Ebb & Flow promising a rejuvenated cosmopolitan lifestyle experience, connecting performance with enjoyment. More than just a hotel lounge, the forward-thinking concept of Ebb & Flow brings a seamless blend of innovation, comfort, discovery and epicurean fare, the venue of choice for the young millennial and global nomads in today's hyper-connected world.
