Chobe Game Lodge is delighted to launch the official Chobe Game Lodge website: www.ChobeGameLodge.co.bw
The website is packed with beautiful imagery, a video documentary, an interactive gallery, press & agent access and blogs sharing stories and sightings from the region. There is also an entire section dedicated to the innovative ecotourism initiatives taking place at Chobe Game Lodge.
When Chobe Game Lodge opened their doors for the first time in 1972, it was the first ever 5-star safari lodge of it's kind in Botswana. “Exploring the website, potential guests will immediately understand why Chobe Game Lodge is the ultimate place to stay for that unique safari experience” said James Wilson, Business Development Manager.
The lodge belongs to the Desert & Delta Safaris portfolio with eight camps and lodges offering one of the best safari circuits in the key ecosystems of Botswana including the Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi Pans National Parks, Moremi Game Reserve, Savute and the Chobe riverfront of the Chobe National Park.
Stay tuned for fun and informative news and images to be regularly posted on the new website at www.ChobeGameLodge.co.bw
About Chobe Game Lodge
The iconic Chobe Game Lodge was the first and only lodge to be built in Botswana's world-renowned Chobe National Park riverfront and is considered the premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to enjoy top-class safaris both by boat and game drive-vehicles. Chobe Game Lodge was opened in 1972 in the North East region of the Chobe National Park. At this time Botswana had very little in the way of infrastructure, let alone tourism. Soon after opening, however, the Lodge was elevated to world-renowned status when celebrity couple Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, who frequented Chobe Game Lodge, decided to get married at the Lodge in 1975. The lodge has continued to evolve and in 2012, together with just 10 other properties, achieved Botswana Tourism Organisation's Top Level Ecotourism certification. Chobe Game Lodge was recently redecorated and launched the incredible Boardwalk and Deck with over 200 meters of elevated walkway for some of the most impressive views across Chobe National Park.
