This year the Home of Halloween, The London Dungeon, is promising its biggest and boldest Halloween yet and a hysterically horrible addition to its activity is now on offer – bed & breakfast courtesy of Mrs Lovett. The devious sidekick of Sweeney Todd is opening the doors of her ‘meat’ pie shop in the bowels of The London Dungeon, for unique bed and breakfast accommodation exclusively through social accommodation site, Wimdu.co.uk, for a limited number of stays this October.
Only available through Wimdu.co.uk (http://www.wimdu.co.uk/offers/3HGMN1UU) the stay costs just £86 and includes a tour of The London Dungeon with pie and mash supper in the Ten Bells Pub. Guests will be tucked in with a bedtime story read by the host herself, then left to survive the night with just a chamber pot and oil lamp. Those who make it through will be rewarded with breakfast of porridge and tea in bed served by Mrs Lovett.
Arne Blackwenn, CEO and co-founder of Wimdu.co.uk says: “Wimdu.co.uk is all about providing interesting, quality accommodation that offers an experience you wouldn’t receive in a regular hotel. Mrs Lovett is unlike like the traditional hosts who list their properties with us, but we simply daren’t turn her away!”
Hywel Mathias, Lovett’s landlord and General Manager of The London Dungeon added. “Margery Lovett is a true entrepreneur. She’s made her pie shop a roaring success with her innovative recipes and I am sure this new venture will be just as successful. But those who aren’t lucky enough to get a B&B booking can visit her pie shop and sample all the delights of our Halloween season at The London Dungeon every day until 5th November. As well as Mrs Lovett and Sweeney Todd there’s a whole cast of characters to meet here”.
In fact, the Halloween experts at The London Dungeon are putting on a lavish new pumpkin-filled Halloween production. Master of revels is the mischievous Pumpkin Keeper who will be dishing out trick or treat sweeties. Will it be a yummy Chupa Chup or a revolting insect lolly? Then it's down into the depths of the Dungeon for Halloween encounters with a cast of London's most infamous names bringing to life 1000 years of London’s Dark past in 18 shows. Add in some stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exiting thrill rides and you've got the perfect recipe for a scarily good fun Halloween.
