The Devonshire Arms at Beeley on The Chatsworth Estate has been awarded The Good Pub Guide's County Dining Pub of The Year 2014.
Every year the Good Pub Guide editors select the very best pubs from across the country to be awarded a collection of National Awards.
Ranging from the highly prestigious "Pub of the Year" through a range of other categories including "County Dining Pub of the Year", which The Devonshire Arms at Beeley has been awarded; these pubs demonstrate an excellence above and beyond even the other entries in the Good Pub Guide itself.
Owned by The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is not shy of an award - the restaurant and adjoining brasserie has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for its superb quality and service of local produce from well known local suppliers.
The Devonshire Arms has also been awarded Gastro Pub of The Year, for the fourth year running in The Derbyshire Food Awards.
There is a choice of two dining areas both serving the same menu. The traditional atmospheric bar in the original part of the inn, complete with roaring open log fires and a cosy pub character, while the hip brasserie is colourful and funky with huge windows letting natural light flood the room. Tables are available on a first come first served, however, they can reserved in advance for the evenings.
If guests don't want their night to end, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley also boasts 14 chic and comfortable rooms, all individually designed and decorated by The Duchess of Devonshire herself, with some bedrooms featuring original artwork by Lady Emma Tennant - The Duke of Devonshire's sister.
In light of this superb accolade, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley have designed a special 'Winner Takes It All' dinner bed and breakfast break to allow guests not only enjoy a meal in the "County Dining Pub of the Year" but also hopefully a few beverages followed by a comfy night's sleep, for just £80 per person.
