This downtown Charleston establishment is the newest offering from Award-winning Chef Sean Brock. Husk transforms the essence of Southern food and is ardently committed to its locavore philosophy: the restaurant only stocks ingredients that are grown or harvested in the South. The result, a cuisine that explores the reality of Southern food and dishes such as Deviled Eggs with Picked Okra and Trout Roe as well as new classics like South Carolina Shrimp and Choppee Okra Stew with Carolina Gold Rice and Flowering Basil.

Carter’s Kitchen

Carter’s Kitchen prides itself on simple yet refined American cuisine. The restaurant is owned by Chef Robert Carter who was one of the first in Charleston to become a public figure or legend from his culinary work, and is perhaps a leading authority on Southern cuisine and the art of Southern hospitality. The restaurant offers meals such as crispy flounder and shrimp with cheese grits and corn fritters, and butternut squash ravioli with kale, smoked tomato and saba.
