STA Travel has become the first UK travel company to offer customers the opportunity to book and guarantee scheduled airline fares with a low deposit of just £49. The deposit will guarantee seats and the price of the ticket at the time of reservation.

The £49 deposit offer is available on new flight bookings made between 19 April and 31 May 2013 on over 50 scheduled carriers serving a host of global destinations. The offer is valid for outbound travel from the UK between 28 June 2013 and 14 February 2014. The full balance of the fare will be due 10 weeks before departure.

• £49 deposit will guarantee seats and price of tickets at time of reservation

• £49 deposit is per passenger

• Valid for outbound travel from the UK between 28 June 2013 and 14 February 2014

• £49 non-refundable deposit due at time of booking and balance due 10 weeks before departure

• If balance of flights is not collected the reservation will be cancelled and a cancellation fee of £100 will be applied to the booking and claimed back

• Valid for new bookings made until 31 May 2013

• Any changes made to the reservation will incur the normal fees

• Eligibility of some tickets may apply

• Changes to route or airline will result in the loss of deposit and the new price will need to be calculated based on current availability and fares

• In the unlikely event that the price of your trip decreases in the deposit period, the balance paid will still be amount determined when the deposit was initially paid
