(16 May 2013) Due to unprecedented demand, Scenic Tours today announce the commission of a second new Scenic 'Space-Ship' to be delivered in 2014. Bringing their world-class fleet of Scenic 'Space-Ships' to nine, Scenic Jade will sail along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.

This comes on the back of the company's April announcement of a new Scenic 'Space-Ship', Scenic Gem, custom-built to sail the Seine River in France from 2014; a $10 million rebuild to the current fleet sailing the Rhine, Main, Danube, Moselle and Black Sea routes; and the recent launch of Scenic Jewel.

Scenic Tours General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Michelle Black says the company has already had an overwhelming response to their 2014 Europe River Cruising program launch, largely because of their unrivalled all-inclusive luxury offering.

"Our commitment to delivering the ultimate in all-inclusive luxury to our guests has been met with an unprecedented response. As a result we have expedited the building of our ninth Scenic 'Space-Ship' to create additional capacity for the 2014 season."

She adds that Scenic Jade and Scenic Gem will bring the total Scenic Tours European fleet to ten in 2014, which also includes their boutique small ship, Scenic Tsar, which exclusively sails in Russia.

"The group's overall investment in new ships for 2014 is now at $90 million," says Michelle. "It's a true testament to both the popularity of river cruising and the demand for the ultimate all-inclusive luxury experience that Scenic Tours continues to deliver."

Scenic Jade will feature all of the exceptional embelishments that have made Scenic 'Space-Ships' the most popular on the market.

These include private butler service to the finest luxury suites, which boast the largest private balconies fitted with Scenic 'Sun Lounges', complimentary mini-bar stocked daily, and 32 inch Samsung HD TVs linked to Mac mini computers with complimentary internet access.

Unlimited complimentary beverages handpicked by the company's sommelier will complement the exceptional range of cuisine prepared from fresh local produce in all dining venues including the River Café for casual fare and dégustation at Table La Rive.
