Undiscovered Destinations announce launch of Undiscovered Indian Ocean tour

Adventure tour operator Undiscovered Destinations have added another intriguing destination to their itinerary with their Undiscovered Indian Ocean - Reunion, Comoros and Mayotte tour, starting in June 2016.

This tour which will last for 16 days is limited to a maximum of 12 people and will give travellers an opportunity to explore some of the least visited islands in the Indian Ocean.

The more popular destinations of teh Seychelles and Mauritius are being avoided for this tour and instead the group will visit the likes of Reunion, the Comoros and Mayotte, places well off the usual tourist trail. The group will also visit Grande Comore, Anjouan and Mohéli, destinations which do not usually feature on the typical travel schedule but which offer a unique experience as well as the trip of a lifetime.

The tour, which will start with arrival at Saint Denis, Reunion on 2nd June will offer our travellers a wide range experiences. They will include the opportunity to visit the charming villages and enchanting beaches on the islands of Grande Comore, Anjouan and Mohél; to indulge in whale watching or hike through subtropical forests, ease those tired limbs and relax in the soulful atmosphere of the Comoros Islands, or alternatively cycle round the island of Moheli or watch giant turtles lay their eggs by night on the beaches of Itsamia.

As with every Undiscovered Destinations group tour, adventurous customers can expect to go far beyond the normal boundaries of tourism, absorbing culture, life and experiencing parts of a country rarely seen by western visitors.

The tour costs from £3,399 per person based on two people sharing and excluding international flights.Included in the cost are arrival and departure transfers, international flights from Reunion to Moroni and from Anjouan to Mayotte, and domestic flights within the Comoros. English speaking guides are used throughout and the entrance fee for sites on the itinerary are also included in the price.
