WINE-MAKING AND TOURISM MEET IN PRIMAVERA DEL PROSECCO SUPERIORE 2014
In Veneto each year during the spring holds the wine tourism exhibition dedicated to Prosecco Superiore. “Primavera del Prosecco Superiore” is a wine tourism Event that brings together 15 exhibitions dedicated to this famous Italian sparkling wine, made by over 400 wineries and events held in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Docg.
From the month of March (15th) to 8th June the 15 exhibitions on the wine tourism circuit will offer tasting sessions for the best wines from the hills, in co-operation with the Treviso Provincial Government, the Comunità Montana delle Prealpi Trevigiane, Associazione Altamarca, Conegliano and Vadobbiadene Prosecco and Hill Wines Route and the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Consortium. The Consotrium “Marca Treviso” prepared, for this edition, 4 diversified tourist packages to allow visitors to savour the best Veneto hospitality and lots of tasty, enjoyable events.
LOTS OF EVENTS PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPLORING THE TERRITORY
Also this year, over the four months of the Review many events are linked to the 15 exhibitions, thereby enhancing the offers dedicated to tourists and visitors.
For those who love to stroll among the vineyards. with special walk that combines exploration of the territory with experiences of typical local produce, tasting wine and food can Primavera del Prosecco Superiore suggests:
· Peccati di Golosa (February- March)
· Tarzeggiando (March & April)
· Sbecotando (May)
· Rive Vive (May)
· Canevando (June)
There will also be room for culture through cooperation with the “Canova Museum” held in Possagno, birthplace of the neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova, that is hosting an exhibition of “Le Tre Grazie”, or with the painting exhibition "Un Cinquecento Inquieto" hosted at Palazzo Sarcinelli in Conegliano, or with the Concert Altamarca offering classical music performances in charming locations.
“TRADITIONAL DISHES”
Within moments of tasting, each exhibition proposes a dish from the recipes of the local tradition. Visitors will make a journey through time to discover the tastes of the rural table. Among the various proposals include: the “Spiedo d’ Alta Marca” (a giant spit roast), a dish typical of the Pedemontana Area, a menu of deer, risotto with herbs, “Trippe alla parmigiana” (tripe with tomatoes and Parmigiano Reggiano) and 'Pit in umido' (moist rooster).
“OUR PATHS”
The PRO LOCO (local tourist association) and the ASSOCIAZIONE MOSTRE (association of the 15 wine exhibitions) are committed to implement walking routes that depart from the base of each exhibition and discover the territory. The characteristic of these walks is to be proposed by the locals, so the routes as well as being accessible and viable in a short time, offer an unusual glimpse in the area, emphasizing the most picturesque and unknown places. Among the things you can see there are: old mills, ruins of castles such as Cordignano or the Da Camino, small votive capitals and churches surrounded by greenery and have a rest in the 'casere' old farmhouses that arise along the “rive” (hillsides). Shrines, temples, villas and suggestive Grotte del Caglieron are just a few things to be discovered.

AWARDS
Primavera del Prosecco Superiore is also well-known because every year it rewards excellence in the worlds of wine-making, photography and journalism with four awards dedicated to those who communicate the wine and hospitality of this territory to the world.
1. Wine Competition dedicated to the best wines produced in the area. The winners of the gold medal will be the ambassadors of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore in the world by taking part in Italian and international wine events.
2. VIII Edition Journalism Award Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, reserved for registered Italian and foreign journalists. During the Gala evening June the best articles aired on radio, TV or published in daily newspapers, periodicals and web sites will be awarded with holidays in the hills of Prosecco Superiore and money prizes. 3. 4th Photography Competition “Scatta…la Primavera del Prosecco Superiore!”: this is a prize designed to involve fans of Primavera del Prosecco in producing particularly original, amusing or evocative images of the event.
4. 2nd The spring in the plateful. The gastronomic competition reserved to restaurants, tavern, agritourism that must submit a first dish of local products by uploading a photograph of his achievement in the website of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, the photo must be accompanied by: description of the procedure, the list of ingredients and recommended combination, of course with one of the wines of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore.
