LATIN AMERICA SPECIALIST COX & KINGS LAUNCHES 2015 BROCHURE WITH NEW TOURS TO COLOMBIA, BOLIVIA AND PERU

With year-on-year bookings to Latin America up over 10%, Cox & Kings has launched its new Latin America brochure for 2015. Featuring a comprehensive programme of escorted tours, including a new group tour to Colombia and a tour combining Peru and Bolivia, there is also an array of tailor-made travel suggestions for private travel throughout the continent. Prices for an escorted tour start from £1,695 per person for an 11-day / 9-night trip to Costa Rica.

Cox & Kings reports that total passenger numbers to Latin America in 2013 increased by almost 25% compared to 2012. With double the advance bookings for 2015 compared to the same time last year, the region shows no sign of dropping in popularity. Vessela Baleva, Cox & Kings' Latin America product manager says, “We have worked hard to negotiate competitive prices and combined with the strengthening rate of the pound against the dollar, all of our escorted tours have come down in price for next year. Travel to Latin America in 2015 is going to offer exceptional value for money and we hope to see passenger numbers continue to rise. I am excited to introduce a group tour to Colombia – a destination quickly becoming popular with travellers. There is very little across Latin America that our team of experts can't arrange”.

ESCORTED TOURS: Year-on-year bookings on Cox & Kings' escorted tours to Latin America have increased by 10% in 2014 compared to 2013 and account for three of the company's top ten bestselling escorted tours this year. Tours that have seen the biggest growth in 2014 include Chile (35%), Costa Rica (90%), Cuba (15%) and a tour combining Chile and Argentina (almost 20%)

PERU: Peru remains one of Cox & Kings' bestselling destinations and the Train to Machu Picchu tour is its second bestselling escorted tour. The 15-day / 12-night tour is priced from £2,695 per person, a saving of £200 compared to 2014.

NEW – PERU & BOLIVIA: HEART OF THE ANDES: Using new flight connections, this tour combines the Andean scenery and traditional Incan cultures of both Peru and Bolivia. Including the spectacular salt flats in Uyuni and a stay in a salt hotel, the tour ends with a night on both sides of Lake Titicaca, legendary birthplace of the Incas. Cox & Kings' new 15-day / 12-night itinerary is priced from £2,995 per person and combines the highlights of Peru with La Paz, Uyuni and Lake Titicaca.

NEW – TREASURES OF COLOMBIA: With increased interest in holidays to Colombia, Cox & Kings has introduced its first escorted tour to the country. Exploring the best of this fascinating destination, the tour travels from Andean peaks to tropical Caribbean coastlines taking in coffee plantations, an excellent gold museum, and beautiful colonial cities. The 12-day / 9-night tour is priced from £2,395 per person.

CUBA: Passenger numbers to Cuba have continued to grow throughout 2014.  Splendours of Cuba, a 12-day / 10-night escorted tour priced from £1,895 per person, now includes dinner at a privately run parador, and A Journey through Cuba, which was introduced this year, will include two nights in a private casa particular, authentic bed & breakfast style accommodation giving an interesting insight into local Cuban culture. The 13-day / 11-night private tour is priced from £1,795 per person and covers Cuba from west to east.
