A group of lodgings, attractions, golf, entertainment, and shopping venues along a 20-mile stretch of I-81 have unveiled a web site, www.heartofshenandoah.com, which allows visitors to pick and choose among special offers that save money on accommodations and activities. �The members of the Heart of Shenandoah partnership are all located about 100 miles from Washington, D.C., 145 miles from Harrisburg, Pa., and 140 miles from Richmond, Va.,� said John Crim of the Quality Inn-Shenandoah Valley in New Market, Va. �Our location and money-saving offers are ideal for the shorter trips families are taking today. The fact that our sites are so near each other means you can easily take advantage of the activities on an overnight or weekend trip.�

Visitors to the web site are able to view basic descriptions of the offers, visit the partners� individual web sites for more information, then select and print coupons representing the offers they find most interesting. �Whether you�re interested in golf, wineries, caverns, baseball, skiing, or shopping we have opportunities for you,� said Marvin Bond of Shenandoah Caverns. �And history abounds, including the New Market Civil War Battlefield and a new Presidential Inaugural exhibit that just opened at American Celebration on Parade in time for the upcoming Presidential election and inauguration.� Participating partners are the Quality Inn-Shenandoah Valley, CrossRoads Inn Bed & Breakfast, Shenandoah Caverns and American Celebration on Parade, Shenvalee Golf Resort, Bryce Resort, New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, Shenandoah Vineyards, New Market Rebels Baseball, and The Shoppes at Mauzy.
