09 Dec 2005
o Sale of all Sails runs from 1 December 2005 until 28 February 2006 o More trade support than ever o More ships and destinations than ever before o NCL back in Europe: New European cruises from May 2006 o Bonus commission of 1% when booking through Amadeus Cruise
NCL's annual Sale of all Sails has kicked off. The fantastic deals include free upgrades, on-board credit and extra cash savings for guests. Running until 28th February 2006, it is expected to be the biggest Sale of all Sails ever!
This year NCL has made it even easier for agents to sell this promotion to their customers with a dedicated agent's reference guide breaking down each cruise and the available guest incentives. With NCL's Freestyle Pricing generally the earlier guests book, the lower the fare, so during Sale of all Sails agents can look at getting the BEST price for each cruise.
Also on offer is an up to 4-category cabin upgrade - inside to inside and outside to outside. Guests can also receive up to $350 on-board credit depending on the stateroom they have booked.
NCL is returning to Europe in 2006 with lead in prices aboard the newest ship Norwegian Jewel starting from 849 per person for a 7-night cruise in the Western Mediterranean. Don't want to fly? Ex-UK cruises out of Dover to the Baltics start from 899 per person for a 12-night cruise and the hugely popular Caribbean itineraries start from 999 per person including a three night stay in Miami. Alaska from 1199 per person and Hawai'i from 1399 per person complete the 2006 offering.
As an incentive to agents to book NCL Cruise & Stay Holidays via Amadeus Cruise, NCL will pay a bonus commission of 1% for all new bookings until the 28th February 2006. This additional facility is particularly important at this time of year because of the huge rush of bookings and Amadeus makes online booking and information sourcing even quicker and easier than before. Alternatively, booking is possible through NCL's dedicated call centre: 0845 658 8010. Francis Riley, General Manager NCL UK, commented: "To have worked successfully and so closely with so many of our key trade partners has been a phenomenal achievement during 2005 and we are really looking forward to a strong January and February. Every year Sale of all Sails gets bigger - this year is absolutely no exception, with 4-category cabin upgrades available on over 50% of our sailings and up to $350 on board credit. By adding in the opportunity for agents to earn an extra 1% commission by booking via Amadeus Cruise, we once again have demonstrated our commitment to support those agents that support us.
"The concept of NCL's Cruise & Stay Holidays is now well established, providing agents with an easy sell alternative to a solely land based holiday. Combining hotel stays, resort stays and land tours with a cruise gives customers the very best of both worlds and helps agents and customers alike to make the first step into purchasing a cruise holiday. The potential to grow this market is still huge and we are only just scratching the surface.
"Our relationships with the trade have gone from strength to strength, in 2005, through the ongoing efforts of our dedicated trade sales support team. For Sale of all Sails this year we have produced hundreds of thousands of trade flyers, brochures and posters and provided vast amounts of information to be used by agents for their own direct mail purposes."
In addition to the flyers and posters, NCL has issued 100,000 dedicated European destination 8-page brochures and a regional departure brochure in conjunction with Continental Airlines. Both incorporate Sale of all Sails. To access or request your own flyers, posters and reference guide please go to www.uk.ncl.com/agents or call 0845 658 8010.
