Mammoth new attractions for Wet'n'Wild Water World

The all-new themed area features two mega-slides never before seen in Australia - the Mammoth River Ride and Mammoth Falls.

The Mammoth River Ride features 4.5-metre-wide troughs winding over more than 200 metres of white water rapids and ridden in giant six-person tubes.

On the Mammoth Plunge, the rafts plunge down 80 metres over triple humps into a purpose-designed splash pool.

Guests launch into both slides from a mighty tower rising 18 metres above the ground a similar height to WetnWild Water Worlds existing Giant Speed Slide.

Combined, the massive new slides are two of the most thrilling six-person raft rides in the Southern Hemisphere.

Also open is the Speed Coaster a double barreled dose of sheer adrenaline. Guests will take off on the ultimate downhill tandem toboggan slide before being launched upwards into an awesome zero-gravity experience.

The Speed Coaster is unique to WetnWild Water World and features innovations never before seen in water slide design.

WetnWild Water World General Manager Steve Peet said the award-winning water park had developed to a scale which would place it squarely in the top 10 water parks in the United States.

But were certainly not resting on our laurels and we will keep developing and growing so that we provide the very best in world-class water park attractions and entertainment.

As WetnWild Water World continues to grow in popularity, the new attractions will ensure we can keep up with the ever-growing demand during peak holiday periods, Mr Peet said.

Most importantly, the new attractions will broaden the appeal and awareness of WetnWild Water World, while also enhancing the strength of the Warner Village Theme Park Group in drawing new and repeat visitors to the Gold Coast, particularly through the 3 Park Super Pass Australias premier theme park package.

The new developments follow the creation of the Super 8 Aqua Racer in 1998, followed by the development of a new, themed front gate and the addition of Terror Canyon 2 in September 1999.
