Spectacular country views and two excellent pubs around a mile; pets welcome.

Also in Somerset is the smartly furnished Old Cider Barn (£322pw or £214 for three nights for two from 13th February) in peaceful Wookey village, near the famous Wookey Hole caves and Cheddar Gorge.
