New York, NY – Madame Tussaudstoday announced that Ed Sheeran, international music superstar, will be the newest addition to the legendary New York attraction's lineup of impeccable wax figures.  The unveiling event, featuring Mr. Sheeran himself, will take place at Madame Tussauds New York in Times Square and will celebrate Sheeran's sold out concerts in New York and New Jersey.

Ed Sheeran worked closely with the Madame Tussauds team who spent hours sitting with the star taking over 250 measurements, identifying exact eye color, and detailing each strand of hair. The figure, which is the first time the star has been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds, features every intricate detail, including each of his colorful tattoos and a few childhood scars.  Ed generously donated the figure's attire and a Martin & Co. guitar and guitar strap.
