The magnificent gardens and woodlands at Liss Ard have been planned to reveal a collection of 'garden rooms' with various areas to enjoy. The estate also features the 'Irish Sky Garden'. This huge earth and stone work called 'The
Crater' was created by the American artist James Turrell who is world-renowned for his works on the theme of 'Light'.
In the past Liss Ard was renowned as a private haven to numerous celebrities including Oasis, Lou Reed, Van Morrison, Patti Smith and Nick Cave, who prized its peaceful, rural location.
Dining at Liss Ard is a relaxed affair with simple, uncomplicated food bursting with freshness and flavours. The restaurant is based in the Country House and it is where breakfast is also served.
