Couples dreaming of an unforgettable island wedding are invited to experience one of Queensland's most unique wedding destinations at the upcoming Kingfisher Bay Resort Wedding Expo on K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) this June.

Hosted by Kingfisher Bay Resort on Sunday, 7 June 2026, the exclusive in-house wedding expo will provide engaged couples with the opportunity to explore the award-winning resort, meet trusted wedding suppliers and begin planning their dream celebration on UNESCO World Heritage-listed K'gari.

The free Expo event for bridal couples will showcase a curated collection of preferred suppliers, including photographers, celebrants, florists, musicians, stylists, hair and makeup artists and event specialists, all selected to help create seamless island weddings and memorable guest experiences.

Guests attending the expo will travel to the island aboard a dedicated ferry service from Hervey Bay before spending the day exploring the resort's wedding spaces, accommodation offerings and unique island experiences.

Kingfisher Bay Resort General Manager Dan Maroszek said the expo was designed to give couples the opportunity to experience firsthand what makes K'gari such a special wedding destination.

“Kingfisher Bay Resort offers couples the chance to celebrate their wedding surrounded by some of Australia's most breathtaking natural landscapes, from pristine beaches and ancient rainforest to stunning sunsets over the western beach,” Mr Maroszek said.

The resort hosts approximately 50 weddings each year and has built a strong reputation as one of Queensland's leading destination wedding venues, supported by an experienced on-island events team and a network of trusted mainland suppliers.

SeaLink K'gari Business Development Manager Lisa Walker said the expo would make wedding planning easier for couples looking for a destination experience without the stress.
