Its all about Maggie this Easter holiday at Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel as one of the citys most popular comic characters Maggie will be checking-in to the hotel to bring fun and laughter to the only 5-star international hotel in the airport precinct.
Created by local illustrator/author Maggie Lau, Maggie wins the hearts of many OLs (a.k.a. Office Ladies) in Hong Kong as her comic stories are created based on her own personal experience from office lives, holiday travel, wedding and even her pregnancy, which easily induce resonance from young readers. To celebrate the first cross-over project with a hotel, Lau has created tailor-made designs where they will be used as main decorations in the guest rooms and restaurant. During Easter Public Holidays (2 April to 5 April inclusive), you will also find Maggie faces everywhere at the SkyCity Bistro located at Lobby level, and avid fans will be thrilled to see Maggie dessert items and decoration in the restaurant. Simultaneously, the hotel ballroom will be turned into a Maggie Wonderland with Maggie-themed arts and crafts corner, video games, and other activities for kids such as bouncy castle, magician, balloon twister and face painting. Want to meet the illustrator in person? Exclusive only to guests who have either booked the Maggie themed accommodation or buffets during the promotion period, 2 sessions of cooking classes will be available each day on 3 and 4 April 2010 respectively, between 3:00pm and 4:00pm and 4:00pm and 5:00pm. With the assistance from hotel Pastry Chef Dick Chan, Maggie will prepare cookies photo frame and cup cakes with her fans.
