Intrepid Travel Joins the Travel Bootcamp

The Travel Bootcamp announces well-known Australian tour company – Intrepid Travel – as the latest sponsor for the 2019 Queenstown event. 

“Intrepid is an enduring brand with real integrity in the industry,” said Bootcamp co-founder, Liz Carlson. “Their ethos around ethical and sustainable travel is at the core of everything they do and this is a value that we align with here at The BootcampWe’re thrilled to welcome them on board for our first-ever New Zealand event.  

Intrepid is the world’s largest adventure travel company and a long-standing figure in the Australian travel industry. With a tenure of more than 30years in the industry, the brand now runs more than 1,000 itineraries internationally.

Intrepid’s inclusion in The Bootcamp comes after a list of well-known industry bodies have shown their support for the event. Namely, global presswire service TravMedia were recently announced as media sponsor, alongside Stayz – Australia’s largest holiday booking site – who have joined the team as gold sponsor. 

Another notable sponsor announced last week – Olympus Australia, has supported the event since its inception in 2015. 

Drawing an international audience, Vogue Australia’s Sydney-based travel editor, Mark Sariban, and National Geographic USA’s Sarah Polger were among the first announced as guest speakers, for the Queenstown event. 

Guest-speakers will be joined on stage alongside event co-founders who are industry experts in their own right. Co-founders include: award-winning journalist, and Virgin Australia editor at large Georgia Rickard, Australia’s first professional Instagrammer Lauren Bath and leading female travel blogger Liz Carlson.   

Well-known New Zealand media personality and GoPro ambassador, Kyle Mulinder, will also feature as MC in the event program. 

More announcements are expected to follow shortly. 

About The Travel Bootcamp 

The Travel Bootcamp, held across a long weekend, fuses the principles of traditional and new media, teaching the best industry practices for modern travel storytelling. 

The Bootcamp attracts an audience of writers, photographers, influencers and other travel professionals. Previous attendees have included publicists Yvette Peverell and Cynthia Dammerer, journalists Megan Blandford and Celeste Mitchell and Queensland tourism ambassadors Mark Fitzpatrick and Jesse Lindeman.  

The Queenstown event is scheduled to take place between Friday October 4th and Sunday October 5th
